We think of our home as a cottage retreat because of its quiet location nestled in an old oak forest. It is the last house on a dead end road with wooded areas on three sides. We have frequent wildlife sightings, from deer to wild turkey. The property includes three lots. There is only one other house on the road. Both levels feature on open concept layout. It has a walkout lower level. There is a deck off the main floor which provides a covered area for the lower level walkout. We didnt get a picture of the large walk-in, cedar-lined closet in the master bedroom. The two full bathrooms are beautiful, having been recently remodeled. The main floor bathroom features a walk-in shower. There is a Vermont Casting gas stove on the main floor and a wood burning stove on the lower floor. The front lawns feature natural landscaping with many perennials. It has beautiful shaker siding on the sides of the house which was installed in the last 5 years. There is a whole house water filtration system, an ice filter system, and a RO system for drinking water. All were updated in the last two years. We recently added LeafFilter gutter guards to the entire house and garage. This has a lifetime transferable warranty. The HVAC system was installed 10 years ago and we also had extensive insulation added. Our home has a feel of being out of town while being in town. It is 12 mile to the elementary school and 1 and 12 miles to downtown Hillsboro. Among the many selling points, the location may be its strongest. We have lovingly cared for our home over the last 28 years. We are sad to be moving away after retirement but we will be closer to family, including grandchildren
